Experience the Island Koh Sichang
This is our favorite island! Koh Sichang is refreshingly low on tourists, and offers the tranquil relaxing atmosphere of a real Thai community.
Only 2 hours sailing North of Pattaya we find the historical island of Koh Sichang. Her is the summer residence of one of Thailand`s greatest monark H.M. King Chulalongkorn, Rama V. We can also visit the famous Chinese Temple San Chao Phor Khao Yia. The Temple contains cave Chrines and have an unforgetable panoramic view. Don`t forget your camera.

There are many "Rewaladees" (name of the flower) on the summer Palace area. They gives a very good fragrance on the island.

Tuk-tuk (samlors) are the main vehicle on the island.

Some of the most popular attractions are:
Visiting the Chinese Temple, with its cave chrines and its panoramic view.Walk down the road to the old city Thaa Bon, which is the oldest settled area of the island. At the waterfront we find Thaa Laang pier with local fishing boats and the ferry to the mainland.

A walk trough Rama V. Summer Palace grounds. Beautiful buildings constructed at different levels scattered over the terrain. Several of the remaining structures have been restored. The main building was brought to Bangkok about 1900, where it is now famous in Vimarn Mek Palace.

Watch a Koh Sichang sunset from the view point Khaao Khaad, overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. It was an important pavillion of Rama V. and a Royal observatory.
